Seven Facebook tips that will help you succeed on Facebook
Tag Your Friends in Status Updates
This is an important tip and one that you need to pay close attention to. Take you link, message or video to you most recent product and post it. If you don’t have a link, message or video, create one! Now, the trick here is posting. It is important to be tactful, but you want to post the link, message or video as a status update and integrate the name of your friend/s. As I said, be sly about how you do this…and definitely do not do this too often or you will be reported as spam. To tag them, use the @ symbol followed by your friend’s name in your status. What will your friend think? Well, you definitely do not want to post something that is not appropriate. For instance if your current promotion is 50% off sports gear and John Doe (one of your friends on Facebook is an avid sports player) then you simply have an excuse to give him a tip on something he may be interested in. Get it? The friend assumes you sent the post to him because he’s interested in sports and it may be something of value to him.
Tag your friends in photos
This is a great way to get you brand recognized and impress those “oh so prestigious” friends of your on Facebook (and even the ones that aren’t bright in the limelight). Here you are going to want to upload a picture with your brand. Now, you need to create a description to describe and promote your brand. Now, it’s time to tag as many friends as you can in the photo. You might be asking yourself, how does this get the approval of my friends? Well, simple. The names of your friends will show up on your picture and, as for their profiles, it will show there as well, so your brand (with the picture of your friend/s) is showing on their profile to all their friends as well! Remember though, don’t use a photo that is damaging or insulting to your friend as, obviously, they will be offended. Also, remember, that Facebook will alert your friend that they have been tagged and they will have the opportunity to disable the picture. So, be selective, this is a good trick!
Tag your friends in notes
If a blog is included in your marketing strategies, this is especially useful. Set up your blog with plugins and import your posts directly to Facebook and the blog entries will show up as Notes. Once they have been entered on Facebook, tag! You will be considered a spammer if you constantly tag, so be selective.

By joining Facebook groups, fan pages and events that has the audience that is interested in your brand and your line of work, they you are targeting your niche. Once you’ve joined, promote. Simply leave comments on the walls and let your charm take over! Use the same method as when you are tagging friends with the @ symbol.
